I've been reading about this on the Yahoo ferret health list about a possible new illness in ferrets similar to ECE. This illness is rapid and can cause death in a matter of 8 hours.

Ferrets are so cute. But I hear they're illegal in California...
I have never had a ferret as a pet, but I did have a dog when I was a little girl. I actually found your blog through a wikianswer. Your answers are so well thought out nd detailed. You should really consider starting your own website about the topic that interests you most. Great job.
Any update on what the illness might be?
